Treatment for Hypothyroidism

I have had a lot of women that I talk to explain to me that they are concerned about Hypothyroidism along with PCOS. I have done a couple of blogs prior to this one explaining what Hypothyroidism is and what to expect with it. Today  I am going to give a list of treatments that I have found.

Please note if you think you have Hypothyroidism you need to get in and have your doctor test you. The information that I have published here is information that I have researched on the internet. I am not a doctor and can only share what I have found.

Medications used to treat Hypothyroidism:

Levothyroxine aka L- Thyroxine
   - Tablet you take by mouth (Please follow your doctors orders on this)
   - Used to treat Hypothyroidism
   - Reverses Hypothyroidism symptoms
Side effects:
    - weight loss
    - tremor
    - headache
    - nausea
    - vomiting
    - diarrhea
    - stomach cramps 
    - nervousness
    - irritability
    - insomnia
    - excessive sweating
    - increased appetite
    - fever
    - changes in menstrual cycle
    - sensitivity to heat
    - temporary hair loss, particularly in children during the first month of therapy
If you experience chest pain or rapid or irregular heart beat or pulse contact your doctor immediately.

Liothyronine
  - Tablet taken by mouth (Please follow your doctors orders on this)
  - Used to treat Hypothyroidism
  - Reverses Hypothyroidism symptoms
Side effects:
   - Headache
   - Irritability
   - Nervouseness
   - Sweating
Please let your doctor know if you have Diabetes, are pregnant or breast feeding before taking this medication.

Liotrix Aka Thyroiar
   - Tablet taken by mouth
Side Effects:
  - Fatigue
  - sluggishness
  - increase weight
  - alopecia
  - palpitations
  - dry skin
  - urticaria
  - headache
  - hyperhidrosis
  - pruritus
  - asthenia
  - increased blood pressure

  1. Hypothyroidism is the condition occurs when there is less production of thyroid hormones. Hypothyroidism symptoms includes Weight gain or Weight loss, hair loss, fatigue, difficulty in concentration. Hypothyroidism can be treated with natural thyroid supplements.
