What is PCOS

What is PCOS?
   Pcos stands for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

      - PCOS is the most common hormonal disorder in females today.
      - It is characterized by abnormal ovarian cysts.
      -  The hormonal imbalance is normally brought on by Insulin Resistance.

Some of the symptoms for PCOS are:
       * excessive weight gain and/or obesity
       * irregular, heavy or completely absent periods
       * Ovarian cysts
       * excessive facial hair and/or body hair
       * male pattern baldness
       * acne
       * skin tags
       * high cholesterol levels
       * exhaustion or lack of mental alertness
       * decreased sex drive and excess male hormones
       * sleep apnea
       * thyroid disorders
       * depression and anxiety.
